Time for rejoicing!
Players in the Northeast will be delighted to hear that EVO 2013 has officially announced that Winter Brawl 7, announced earlier today on Shoryuken.com by Tom “Inkblot” Cannon. Previously the event was delegated specifically to UFGT, NorCal Championship, SoCal Championships and CEO. The news created a great amount of negative backlash, in spite of the fact that CEO is in fact an event hosted on the East Coast and the event draws huge numbers, not everyone has the means or money to make the journey.
The news has naturally been received favorably as players throughout the country prepare for the first East Coast major, taking place in Philadelphia, PA Feb 23 – 24. Attendees will now have a shot at competing for a chance for seeding in the EVO World Finals, taking place July 12 – 14 in Las Vegas, NV.
