AC: Unity DLC ‘Dead Kings’ Drops Next Week (And Won’t Cost You Dime)
By now it shouldn't come as a surprised that the latest installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise would lead to a new form of DLC. And while most expansion packs typically come with a price, Ubisoft is actually releasing its upcoming add-on pack on the house. Gratis. Free. Say what?
Dead Kings picks up after the events where Arno embarks on a dangerous journey to explore the darkest secrets of the city of Saint Denis – notably the crypts of several dead French kings. I would expect his pursuit must unlock something along the lines of a legendary power, fortune or both since a faction is also actively pursuing the whereabout of these deceased regal dudes.
Players can look forward to a full single-player campaign as well as several side missions and open world activities. In addition, completing single and co-op missions will also unlock several new weapons, gear and outfits that will can be imported directly into standard retail adventure, Assassin's Creed Unity.
I imagine some of this generous bonuses is a formal apology for the recent performance issues that were encountered last month which lead to several game patch updates that impacted PC and all console-supported formats. Look for the DLC to drop next week on Jan. 13.
