Activision Joins the Mobile Strategy Craze with ‘CoD: Heroes’
Move over Clash of Clans, a new unit has entered the scene.

After spending countless hours with Clash of Clans and Star Wars: Commander, it looks like I may have another game to take up even more of my time. If you’re familiar with those mobile titles, expect Call of Duty: Heroes, the latest entry from Activison released today for iOS and Windows-supported devices.
Things will start out pretty basic in the beginning as you’re stationed at a tiny output that eventually will expand into a impenetrable fortress; at least that’s the whole idea anyways. Choose from over 30 upgradeable structures including SAM turrets, sentry guns and mines; all of these will be essential in keeping enemy forces ‘off your lawn’. Of course, when you’re not fixated in keeping your defenses heavily fortified, it will be necessary to leave the fort in order to gain new items and resources to level up (just like Clash of Clans). Heroes even features several characters from previous Call of Duty installments including “Soap” and Capt. Price who can be lead into battle to ensure you unleash some epic killstreaks.
“Call of Duty: Heroes brings back these iconic characters from across the Call of Duty franchise to play once again in an all-new experience created for mobile players,” said Jeremiah Maza, executive producer, Activision Publishing, Inc. “And it’s all focused on the fun. There’s nothing like calling in heavyweights like Capt. Price or Mike Harper and rolling into a new mission right from your phone or tablet.”
This sounds like a game right up my alley and seeing as Clash of Clans has recently lost it’s charm – Call of Duty: Heroes looks like the perfect alternative. Look for a full hands-on report in the coming weeks.
