Code: Centipede thwarted Destiny Plans

It's another way of saying: you're screwed for now.

Code: Centipede thwarted Destiny Plans

Well, it looks like Bungie’s latest content update featuring the new Iron Banner multiplayer campaign couldn’t arrive upon the mass public without hitting a few snags. After taking a short hiatus, I returned back to the world of Destiny, only to find that the game had other plans for me.

I was randomly ejected from the servers. At first, connectivity issues with my internet (you know how random ISPs can be), only the same issue ended up happening during within three minutes of each other. And this time, the error messages left me puzzled.

“Your connection to Destiny servers has been lost. Please check your network configuration and try again. For more information on resolving this issue visit help.bungie.net and search for the error code: centipede.”

What!?

The first time, the error code was “zebra” and now, it’s giving error codes about an insect. What could this all mean? So off I went to Bungie’s site for a proper explanation. I came upon this thread and started to grumbling even more.

As it turns out, several other gamers throughout the world are beginning to experience the same issues. Here’s what they have to say.

So now I have to sit back and hope that my account will get the hotfix so that I can get back to grinding with my friends and picking up those highly coveted exotic items. I have to say, this is rather annoying, especially since none of these issues came about until after the latest patch. Please Bungie, I beg of you – get this stuff under control. These bugs are hurting my soul.

Note: Shortly after this article was published – I got back online, but I don’t know how much longer that my sessions will remain stable. If you encounter similar issues, be sure to report your account information and circumstance right away.
