DOA5: Last Round Unveils A New Challenger
Team Ninja's final installment in the Dead or Alive 5 series has generated a lot of buzz as we draw closer to its debut next month. In addition to getting an updated visual facelift, a plethora of assorted costumes, additional customization features, direct access to its the Core Fighters PSP-created content, the company unveiled a new addition to the character roster.
If you're fond of mimic-styled characters, Honoka will be right up your alley as she as a femme fatale capable of unleashing some of the cast's fighting style in what the developers have creatively coined as "Honoka Fu". Her background story outlines her inspiration to test out her mysterious power to duplicate any move that she encounters, although those abilities may be lacking somewhat in power as her build is that of of an average teenage girl.
It remains to be seen if Honoka will end up a new community favorite as her fighting techniques don't exactly qualify as being distinctive from the existing cast, but I am sure we're bound to see her make some occasional appearances in upcoming tournament circuits. Dead or Alive 5: Last Round will be featured in the tournament lineup next month at Winter Brawl 8, thanks to Team Ninja's continued support for Big E Gaming events hosted in Philadelphia.
Players can look forward to the upcoming release to drop on Steam PC (digital only), as well as all current Xbox and PlayStation platforms on February 17.
