Dota 2 Takes on the Big Apple

Oh yeah, they in there!

One of the biggest tournaments in Pro Gaming is making its way to the Big Apple. For the first time ever New York Super Week and ReedPOP, alongside Twitch and ESL are bringing you the ESL One New York 2014, which will held in The Theater at Madison Square Garden on October 9-10.

This will kick off a a 10 day long festival, where events will be held in all five boroughs leading up to this years New York Comic Con. The tournament will feature the top eight Dota 2 teams. Now details about the invitees, qualifications, and roster will be released in the upcoming weeks. Competitors will battle each other out for the chance to take home $100,00.

For those of you who cant make it out to the events, no need to worry, the tournament will be aired live on Twitch. This is a big deal for Dota fans in the New York City area, most of the major tournaments are hardly held in the Big Apple so this is a big deal for pro gamers.

“By staging this event at the iconic Madison Square Garden, we’re going to see history in the making,” said Jame Lampkin, Product Mangear for ESL One. “ReedPOP, Twitch and ESL are coming together to create something special that New York City has never seen before.”
