Hype Inbound: Can You Survive the Gauntlet?

Yellow Wizard Needs Food!

There aren’t many gaming franchises that I can honestly say I absolutely love. Gauntlet happens to be one of those and fortunately for us, it’s coming back! One of my fondest memories was the summer I stayed in the house playing Gauntlet: Dark Legacy on the PlayStation 2.

I literally played it until I unlocked every single character and they were all maxed out! There’s just something about fighting a never ending  army of minions, and those boss fights were amazing.

So who's going first?

So who’s going first?

You might compare it to Diablo, Torchlight, Dungeon Siege, or even Marvel Heroes to an extent. The only thing these games all have in common are their dungeon crawling. Each is a very different beast, and Gauntlet is a very special one in it’s own right! Gauntlet is at it’s best when it’s staying true to it’s arcade roots. This game is about having the highest score while having an absolute blast playing with your friends.

Gauntlet has always provided one of the best couch co-op experiences compared to other games of it’s genre. There’s nothing like a game of tag to break the hacking, slashing, treasure finding action! Oh, I forgot to mention, whomever is “it,” will be chased by death if he is disturbed from his treasure chest slumber. What’s that? Nobody has any potions to defeat death? Well you can expect to run around tagging each other until one of you is caught, or the level is clear!

I'm a warrior, how about you?

I’m a warrior, how about you?

Gauntlet will be hitting PC’s September 3rd. You can pre-order through stream right now! I’m hoping this game gets enough support to bring it back to consoles. I’m buying it wherever it goes, and I hope to fight beside you!

Also known as "NverM0re," and often referred to as "1337Joka, the Clown Prince of Gaming." Well not really, but it sounds nice! He specializes in breaking every game he plays down to a mad science. More known on Youtube for his trading card game knowledge. However, the raven is most often found perched in front of a fast paced shooter, controller in hand.
