It looks like Nicalis’ upcoming fighter, Legend of Raven will be making its way on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One after all. Recently, the developer confirmed the title, which originally started out as a PlayStation Vita project would be expanding on the next-gen platforms. In addition, each platform will be powered by GGPO netcode, which should ensure players will have the best online multiplayer experience possible. As an added bonus, the PS Vita and PS4 versions will take advantage of Cross-Buy, in which users instantly can gain access to the alternate version absolutely free via digital download on PSN. It really seems like the PlayStation editions will be the ideal platform of choice too, seeing as Cross-Play will also be fully supported. This is a feature that needs to become a more significant feature in upcoming fighters to broaden the userbase beyond the native console editions.

During its development cycle, Nicalis has been diligently working around the clock to refine the game’s visual effects including a new UI, special effects, and even went as far to bring on some underground talent, featuring The Dirty Youth. This female quintet will be showcasing some of their signature rock tunes for the respective platforms and you can catch a sample of their work in the Youtube clip below.

There’s still no official date set for the Xbox One and PS4 versions, but we’re hoping it won’t be long as we could definitely use some more fresh new faces to shake things up in the fighting arena.
