LI Joe Breaks Down Street Fighter V Capcom Cup Preview
The reality of Street Fighter V actually in development couldn't have come at a better time for the fighting game community. With the stage being set for one of the largest payouts ever since the existence of the Capcom Cup (yo $500k), and our first official demonstration of the upcoming project, it's safe to say that the Street Fighter franchise is definitely geared for a bigger and more rewarding chapter for fans everywhere.
So what are your thoughts on that trailer? There's so many questions still left unanswered as eagle-eyes have been breaking down the 8-minute demonstration featured at this year's Capcom event. Many of us are still unclear with certain vital tidbits such as:
- Does the game have parries (or is Just Defend?)
- Why did Ryu's EX meter only consist of 2 bars whereas Chun was equipped with 3?
- Is there a Guard Crush system and how is it that normal moves now actually cuz chip damage?
- Could the ramen noodles on Chun's head influence the flow of battle (or is this merely goofy fan service?)
There's a very small percentage of players I can think of that would spend time analyzing the gameplay in great detail, but that didn't stop Joe Ciaramelli (aka LI Joe, co-founder of East Coast Throwdown, TFC 2014 and sponsored by Notifuro) from jumping on Twitch several hours ago to share his insight to help give us all a better idea just what could be in store for us when Street Figther V finally drops on the PS4 and PC in the near future.
His analysis spans over 29 minutes and truth be told, most people's attention span can hardly even last for 10 minutes, but trust me when I say this is one video you'll want to sit down and watch from beginning to end.
And bear in mind, all thoughts expressed in the video is purely speculation and since the game is still in the early stages in development, many things can change between now and the final release. The key thing to take away from this is the next series is here, and it's got everyone talking about what's to come. Get hype!
