Nintendo Announces GameCube Controller Adapter in Super Smash Bros. Invitational Trailer

Problem solved.

To the relief of many Super Smash Bros. players, Nintendo Announced that the Nintendo Wii U version of the game will be support the Nintendo GameCube controller with the aid of the GameCube Controller Adapter.

The announcement was made in the end of a trailer for the Super Smash Bros. Invitational at E3 in June. This would make it the third Smash game in the series to be compatible which GameCube controller, in spite of the controller being two system generations.

Popular gaming accessory company PDP recently announced a wireless controller of their own. The announcement of the GameCube Controller Adapter may complicate things.
