NYCC 2014 Hands-On: Kitty in the Box

Kitty in the Box, by Mokuni Games, is a tablet game that is most likely inspired by internet picture of cats sitting in whatever box they find. This may sound like a ridiculous premise but the developers make it work here for a solid game.

The object of the game is, of course, to get your kitty in the box. You press on the screen move your kitty down a narrow lane and let it go for her to come to a sliding halt. Hopefully stopping at a box and grabbing the accompanying fruit without falling off the lane. Sometimes your kitty will face a box that’s open from the top instead of the sides. This is when you slide up to make you cat jump into the box. There are different box and fruit variations and lane distances to keep you guessing.

Kitty in the Box lets you pick with feline you can play as. You start off with a few generic cats but you can unlock more characters be reaching certain achievements.

Kitty in the Box is available right now for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone.
