SEGA Arcade Classics Lives On via the Nintendo 3DS

I am probably one of the few gamers who grew up during the SEGA 8-bit era who didn’t actually own the Master System. It’s unfortunate too since I missed out on so many great titles in their lineup like Alex KiddAfterburner, Thunder Blade and OutRun. Well now, retro enthusiasts everywhere can relive some of SEGA’s finest gaming moments in history with all-new remastered versions of their with a new set of titles that are available via the Nintendo eShop for the Nintendo 3DS for $5.99.

The collection will officially kick off with the release of 3D Afterburner II, followed by subsequent releases that will roll out on a monthly frequency. Gamers can look forward to getting their hands on remastered versions of OutRun, Fantasy Zone II, Thunder Blade, and Fantasy Zone; all titles are completely redesigned with 3D visuals and offer new modes and options.
