Speedrunners: Speed Running Games, While I Play Games About People Running Speedily

Yep. Awesome Games Done Quick is back with speed runs, cancer, charity, all the trimmings. The whole package. It's Shark Week for video game nerds. It's awesome, and I haven't been watching it. It's not because I'm like an enemy of gaming, or I'm pro cancer. It's because a new Humblebundle has launched that contains Speedrunners; if you don't know about Speedrunners, let me explain. If there was a game that could be described as digital crack it would be this.

Simply put, it's a platform running game with items that you can use to sabotage your opponents. Think Mario Kart meets Megaman X with a grappling hook. Intrigued? I've owned the game for a while – sitting in my Steam library. We all have that game that's sitting in digital Tartarus waiting for a second chance. A bunch of friends picked the game up and dear god, maximum hype ensued.

Fists were introduced to tables as every dirty trick was used to get an advantage over my former friends (demoted rather quickly to a string of expletives in lieu of any readily identifiable label). First match is fun, second match is hype, third match is life. Once you find "the tech" on each map, the fun begins as you're swinging around trying to avoid falling off the screen. Without a doubt, Speedrunners has been the most fun I have had playing a video game since I was a kid. I think it's because it's one of those games that has that perfect blend of skill and just outright randomness that keeps it fresh.

The game I feel is the ultimate party game, it was a blast; it has an online ranked mode, but I mean if you really want to play with Lando Calrissian and the Cloud City Lag Squad it's up to you. Gather your friends and get in there, for six bucks bundled with other great games you can't go wrong. Oh and don't be like me, watch Awesome Games Done Quick and support charity and watch the best take on speed records live.

Suspend and resume, were features promised before the PS4 launched. The ability to pause a game at any time (like on modern handhelds) is a feature for a time many thought would never come. Playstation Vue: Cable Without The Need For Cables

When the Xbox One was marketed as both a game console and a cable box alternative some Sony fanboys scoffed; Sony themselves said, emphasized how the PS4 is primarily a game console. Fast forward a year and a half and the PS4 is more than a cable box, it's a box that does things like play games...
