Spotify Partners With PlayStation

Spotify Partners With PlayStation

Yeah, it happened, the Playstation ecosystem is going to be fully integrated with Spotify, both free and premium. Playlists, social, it will all be available on PlayStation 3 and 4 and through an app on Xperia smartphones and tablets. But with this news, Music Unlimited, a premium and ultimately underwhelming service offered by Sony will be cancelled at the end of February when Sony Music with Spotify launches.. It would be redundant to maintain what many considered to be a knockoff Spotify when they just made a deal with the most popular music streaming service out there.

No word on Vita support yet, but there's a software update coming in March so it's not outside of the realm of possibility.
