You knew it was coming! First screens and announcement trailer!

Last week, the Dead or Alive community got a brief video teaser, revealing the character Momiji of Ninja Gaiden fame. Of course, this left the fanbase to conclude that either new DLC was in the works, or even better – an all-new installment. Well it turns out that it was the latter as Team Ninja officially announced Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate is in fact on its way to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 later this year. Essentially this is the DOA equivalent of what Super Street Fighter 4 was to the Vanilla SF4 Edition. Expect new stages, fighters, and who knows — perhaps some welcome balance changes will be revealed?
