The Internet Arcade provides hundreds of retro games on your internet browser
With actual arcades nearly nonexistent, here's an alternative.

The Internet Archive, a quite expansive ‘digital library’, has a rather huge addition to their software section. Now you can relive the days of arcade gaming in the comfort of your own home; on your internet browser, no less!
In comes The Internet Arcade, where literally almost one thousand retro games can be played at your whim. From cult classics such as Pac-Man, Galaga and Dig-Dug to more bronze-age games like Quasar and Radar scope, there’s a little something for everyone young and old.
The Internet Archive uses an in-browser emulator based on a sister project of MAME (Multiple Arcade Machine Emulation), and it’s almost flawless. My favorite part of this engine is how button configurations across every game are universal (coin in, 1P/2P start, etc) and YOU CAN EVEN PLAY WITH A GAMEPAD, which means I can bust out my favorite gaming arcade controller and simulate the arcade experience even better!
Whether you’re as enthused as I am or just plain curious, I highly suggest giving one of these games a whirl and see if you don’t get hooked within five minutes.
