WCA Changing up Hearthstone Format

WCA Changing up Hearthstone Format

With about a week to prepare, problems arise.

The World Cyber Arena’s Hearthstone tournament was originally going to be a best of 2 round robin format. It seemed very awkward to say the least, so they’ve switched to the best of 3, one class ban system used in the majority of tournaments.

Also, the WCA are considering moving the players around to even out the talent in each respective tournament pool. As it currently stands, they are extremely unbalanced. Especially the “Pool of Death” that features Gnimsh, TidesofTime, Rdu, StrifeCro and Amaz.

The WCA will be held October 2nd-5th, with a prize pool nearing $200,000 for Hearthstone.
