Will Region Free Gaming Ever Be An Option For Iwata And Nintendo?

During an investor’s Q & A (translated here), Nintendo’s Satoru Iwata discussed an issue of region locking, a feature that has ticked off players for a few years.

Iwata admitted in the Q & A that region locking made things easier on the sellers’ side. He added that it would require Nintendo to first assess the benefits for the company and for gamers as well as solving whatever problems that may come from phasing out region locking.

Note to Nintendo: Don’t think about getting rid of region locking. Just do it already!
